Would you like to stop being lazy and increase the level of your motivation to take action to do the things you want in life?
You see, the only thing standing between you and your goal – whatever that may be – is motivation. Motivation is what gets you started, and keeps you going. Motivation makes you spring into action.
I know what it feels like when you can’t hop out of bed to do the things you know you ought to be doing, where you just can’t be bothered to talk to anyone, where you look at your long to-do list and you cringe.
These feelings come from a lack of energy and low self-motivation, or perhaps no motivation at all.
Here are 2 very quick tips to help you overcome laziness, increase your energy level, and have you inspired and motivated to spring into action no matter what:
Tip 1: Make a list of the pros and cons of not taking action. When you get the urge to not do anything, where you just feel totally lazy, take a few moments and think and write down the benefits and the unpleasant consequences of not taking action. Write a whole list of both the benefits of being lazy and the consequences of your laziness.
And when you’re done, ask yourself this question: “Am I willing to pay the price of laziness?” That question alone, when you think about it deeply enough and see the consequences your laziness will bring about, will drive you into action.
Tip 2: Be more active. Interesting one, isn’t it? Ironically, have you noticed that when your level of activity is low, so is your level of energy? Let me put this to you in another way: Have you noticed that the times when you’re most tired are the times when you have no reason to be? You know, the times when you just woke up and all you’ve been doing is spending the rest of your day lazing about, laying on the couch with the remote control held loosely in your hand.
Ironic, isn’t it? I have found that to become energetic, you have to do something energetic, even when you don’t feel like it, where you’re too lazy to even move.
So, the solution?
Get moving, become active, shake yourself about, go for a short walk, take your dog out, and play with your kids.
Anything.
Just get moving and you’ll very quickly feel the difference.
Remember, the number one killer to all success is no motivation, is not taking any action.
You have dreams, I have dreams, we all have dreams, but we need to take action to achieve our dreams.
